Outfit: March 12, 2011

I really need to replenish my jeans selection. I ordered eight pairs online the other day. At least some of them should fit, right?
Funny story about these shoes: I bought them nearly four years ago and returned them, thinking I would never wear them. Regretted it for three years, especially after I saw my neighbor wearing a similar pair. I finally found them again about six months ago and snapped them up.

Black v-neck sweater: Old Navy

Jeans: Calvin Klein bootcut.
Giraffe-print flats: Bandolino (similar to these)
Circle necklace (again): Kohls
Big black ring (again): Overstock.com

Where: hosted a brunch for friends and kids. Now going to take a nap.

It took me for-ev-er to figure out what to wear today because guess what!? We have wet messy snow today! All day! Will this ever end?! Anyhow, I decided on warmth and comfort because today is casual Friday at work. Otherwise known as: Frumptastic gets to wear jeans no matter what.

Outfit: March 10, 2011

Today I just really wanted to be comfortable. And I think I've reached the point where I'm so over winter. Usually around this time each year I start craving bright colors: sunflower yellow or bright coral.

Long cardigan: Old Navy
Yellow tank: Lands End
Skinny jeans: Gap
Boots: Target
Scarf: Forever 21
Necklace: Local jewelry store

Outfit: March 10, 2011

Today is not the happiest day, as you will see why below so not much color made it into this outfit's palate today. You will see a hint of green underneath the blouse. In fact I was so out of it this morning I forgot my watch and bracelet.

Grey, white, and black blouse: Target
Tank: Elle from Kohls
Black wrap skirt: Banana Republic
Tights: Target
Shoes: Payless bought off a friend who never wore them.

Where: Work, administrative telephone hearing, mechanic, and sadly, the veterinarian's office.

If I may, this post is dedicated to my dear cat, Lilly. We are putting her to sleep tonight and she is very much on my mind. We will miss you, sweet lady.

I am feeling somewhat blah today. Tomorrow we are saying goodbye to our 18 year old Siamese kitty. Even though we know it's time, it is a difficult decision to make. So alas, I am not in the mood for bright happy colors. This outfit reflects my somber mood. Please don't be surprised if tomorrow I am wearing all black.

Grey tweed jacket: J. Crew
White button down shirt: Rafaelle (probably from Teej)
Red tank: Banana Republic (for when I take my jacket off)
Brown Pants: Michael Kors
Ribbon belt with tortoise shell links: Unknown because I cut off the tag but probably J. Crew or Banana Republic
Shoes: mossimo (Target)
Necklace: Gift from The Plumage

Where: Work where we are having a photo shoot. I probably should have thought more about wearing brighter colors but oh well.

Outfit #2: March 8, 2011

Actually went out tonight! Woohoo! And debuted this new dress. At some point during the course of the evening the hem got caught on my boot zipper, so please ignore that part, okaythanks. (And no, that's not side boobage on my right. The dress just folded funny there...)

Gold dress: Jones New York on supersale (debating whether I should shorten it to knee-length)
Belt: Jessica Simpson
Boots: Naturalizer (I kind of hate these boots actually, but I haven't found a great replacement yet!)
Wool jacket with faux fur collar: Gap from a zillion years ago

Outfit #1: March 8, 2011

Get this, I'm going to have two - yes, two! - outfit posts today. I'm actually going out tonight.

It is a rare occasion that I wear a suit because typically, it is unnecessary when I do not leave the office or I only have informal client meetings. Today I have a hearing so alas, I am wearing a suit. I am pretty sure I have not worn in since before I was pregnant. The first picture shows the entire suit. Because I hate wearing a suit, I have chosen to wear a cardigan while in my office. That's how I roll

Two piece beige suit: J. Crew (I had to have the dress shortened because apparently J. Crew makes suits for Amazon women)
Black Shoes: Ann Taylor (Can I say that they hurt like a ______?)
Tights: Probably Target
Cardigan: Old Navy
Necklace: Superhero Designs (I need some color and fun in my outfits.)

Where: My office. Court. Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!!

Outfit: March 7, 2011

The inspiration for this outfit came from the belt. I wanted to balance some fun colors with a whimsical belt. You cannot tell from the photograph but the belt is a green silk with little dogs on it. For some reason I forgot I even had this belt. Today I have informal meetings at work so I can be a little more casual.
Black jacket: axcess from Kohls?
Black sweater: Banana Republic
Corduroy pants: Old Navy
Scarf: Unknown
Silk belt: J. Crew
Shoes: Dansko clogs (Yes, I wear them all the time but it's too cold for cute shoes.)
Where: work, meeting with a client, and a meeting outside of the office.

Outfit: March 7, 2011

These boots and this octopus necklace are some of my very favorite wardrobe items so I'm always happy when I get to wear them.

Purple dress: Target
Grey jewel-button cardigan: Old Navy
Grey leggings: Kohl's
Grey buckle boots: White Mountain
Octopus necklace: gift

Where: This outfit would have gone lots of places but we've already gotten two feet of snow this morning. So I've swapped out the boots for slippers and we're having an at-home day today...
